Widlake Properties Inc, is a private not for profit, volunteer, community based entity. It is creating 95 apartment units of “affordable housing” geared for 55+.This is a state of the art design, quality built, CMHC insured, energy efficient building located at 500 Widlake St., in a park, in a quiet Transcona neighborhood.
United Lutheran Service Club Inc., has provided the necessary funding for this NEW property. This charity is also a not for profit housing owner. It received CMHC financial support for Carriage House North, a 100- unit seniors complex some 35 years ago. After it’s mortgage pay out, this well managed property was able to provide support funding for 500 Widlake.
